Some Hints in Installing a Fiber Optic Modem
First, you need to hook the modem up with the female DB25 connector to run the device. Now you can take off the dust caps of the connector. If you do not need to use DB25 in providing power for your modem, you can simply insert the wall power supply to a wall outlet. Then, you need to join the plug that is attached to the end of the wire of your power supply with the power input port of your modem. You will find the port near the fiber connectors.
Second, you need to remove the dust cap of the modem from its optical output ports. Now, you can continue to link the fiber cable to the optical ports.
In linking the cable, you can simply connect the fiber cable to your optical ports by fitting the tip of the optical ST connector with a jack. Then, you can try to line up the key on the sleeve. Hold it in the collar then turn it clockwise until the key locks. Nowadays, you are ready to use this modem. You can do the same steps in installing other 2200 fiber optic modem. What you have to keep in mind is you need to join the TX port on one of the 2200 with the RX port on the other.
It is quite easy, right? Now you can enjoy internet connection in higher speed.
